In an emergency, it is important to call the EMS on 999 or 112 as soon as possible. The 112 number is the European wide emergency number and this also works in the UK.  The EMS dispatcher will ask you questions and you need to answer these in as much detail as necessary.  It is important to know your location.  Many mobile phones will give you your exact location so putting your phone on speaker, you can read the GPS location of where you are.

Having the phone on the speaker will also give you free hands to treat the patient.  The dispatcher will give you help and stay on the line if needed to support you.
